Top 10 beaches!
Got heaps of cravings for blogging, although I'm not travelling. So thought I would create some toplists for you guys, of the best cities, hotels, restaurants, touristsattractions and stuff like that!

Starting with the best beaches I've visited:

10th Place: Golden Beach, Paros, Greece
To get to this beach you'll need a car or a scooter. But scooter is a cheap thing to rent in Greece, so it's totally worth it! Golden beach lies on the opposite side of the Island from where the ferries leave. Here you'll find watersports equipment (mostly windsurfingboards), and there's a restaurant and a beach bar if you get hungry! (remember you're driving though, so no beachdrinks unfortunately...)

9th Place: Mylopotas, Ios, Greece
The best beach on the best party Island in Greece! This beach lies right outside the doorstep of Far Out Camping, the place to stay at if you're a partyperson! Far Out Camping has a beach bar and restaurant of its own, and there's another one right beside it! They'll get you in the right mood for the evening! The beach itself is nice and clean, and it also offers watersports and scuba diving!

8th Place: Perissa, Santorini, Greece
This beach is quite unique with its black, coarse lava-sand! You'll find it on the exclusive Island of Santorini, but on the opposite side from the famous luxury hotels and restaurants. Perissa is a small place, but along the beach you'll find restaurants and bars. One of them, Jojo, plays music so loud that you won't need headphones! Buy some drinks and the sunbeds are free (and supercomfy too!) The water is warm and the bottom consists of solid black lava!

7:th Place: Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia
The world's most famous beach! Take the bus from Sydney and you won't miss where to get off! Bondi is the largest beach I've seen and smacked with people! You'll see the lifeguards from TV and they'll probably be in action too, since there's a sharkalarm every now and then. Cool and exciting? Yes. Makes you wanna get in the water? No.

6th Place: Mahmya Island, Egypt
If you're visiting Hurghada you have to take a boat to this Island! Many travelagencies arrange tours from their hotels, but it's possible to go with a local touristboat. While there you can go snorkeling in the clear water, the coral reef is amazing! Otherwise, just lie in the white sand under a palmparasol! (I fell asleep there...)

5th Place: Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Australia
Look at your right - you're in the city, look at you're left - you're at a beach. The Main Beach in Surfers, is placed just between the ocean and the city. The sand is white and water warm, but the best thing is the cool atmosphere. There are heaps of places where you can rent boards, and also take lessions if needed. Don't get fooled by the name though, the waves aren't proffessional-surfer-high, but perfect for rookies!

4th Place: Main Beach, Byron Bay, Australia
The Aussies love to name their beaches "Main Beach", so here's another one! Byron Bay is a cool little town, and I guess 90% of its inhabitants love surfing. You'll find heaps of good locations for that here, and we found the waves being the biggest of all the places we visited on our trip. The Main Beach is right by the center so just walk down here any time of the day. The water was also the warmest on the Eastcoast! Love that!

3rd Place: Long Beach, Koh Rong, Cambodia
Cambodia might not be the country you think of when I say "paradise beach" but I'll show you. Leave Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, and get out to the islands! Koh Rong has two beaches, one on each side. The one you'll come to by the boat is where you'll sleep and eat. The other one is quite abandoned from civilisation, exept for a tiny restaurant just as you reach the beach. To get here you have to cross the mountain on which the forrest is dense and the path steep. Getting here is nothing for the weak one. But if you're ready to sweat, please do! it's worth it! The loneliness was almost too much for me though, the beach lives up to its name - it's reeeeally long!! And there was only a few more souls appart from us on the whole beach. It's possible to take a watertaxi back if you, like us, don't wanna climb the mountain again.

2nd Place: Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, Australia
This gorgeous beach would be number one if it wasn't for its location. It's the same with every beach-island though; you cannot get here without owning a boat or paying some people taking you in a way too large group to stay here for just a couple of hours! I could stay at Whitehaven for a week! There's no place to stay at though, and the guides bring their own food to cook for their group, so no restaurant either. The boats leave the mainland from Airlie Beach. The sand is the whitest you'll ever see, since it consists almost only of silicon dioxid, and it won't burn your feet because of that! Touristgroup or not - go here and you'll die happy!

1st Place: Long Beach, Pulau Perhentian Kecil, Malaysia
Number one of the beaches I've visited! Kecil is the smaller of the Perhentian Islands but, in contrast to the bigger Besar, it's filled with more life! Here you'll find heaps of young people looking for a party or taking their diving license. Long Beach is the beach you'll be dropped off on by the small taxiboats. The sand is white and the water is crystal clear and superwarm! It's quite shallow so you can walk far and just be. Right on the beach you'll find restaurants and bungalows. One of the restaurants shows movies on a big screen in the evenings! Some others move their tables right by the water and light candles in the sand. During the day; buy a Malaysian roti (thin, warm bread you dip in sause) right on the beach, and drink an icecold oreo-shake and you'd never wanna leave!
